- Introduction to Charles Bargue Drawing Course
- With the publication of the Charles Bargue Drawing Course by Gerald M. Ackerman,
aspiring representational artists now have access to a series of long sought
after 19th century studies to sharpen their drawing ability. This 10-week
course gives a student initial direction in copying Bargue drawings with
the ultimate goal of improving the eye and the hand as they complete a reproduction.
Students are encouraged to buy their own copy of the book, Charles Bargue
with the collaboration of Jean-Léon Gérôme: Drawing Course, by Gerald
M. Ackerman, available from the Dahesh Museum.
